Team Registration is open!

Teams can register online here for this year's competition at our Giant Science Expo on Saturday, May 6 at Cashman Center. Complete rules are available here.

Join the fun! All schools, after school, and other "Not for Profit" community youth organizations in the state of Nevada serving grades K-12 may participate.

The Competition will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, between 10:00am - 3:00pm at Cashman Center, in Las Vegas. Exact times for competition will be announced approximately two weeks prior to the event. The Tournament will be followed by an Awards Ceremony. All competitors will receive a Certificate. The first place team coach and each team member in each Division will receive trophies, second and third place receive medals. In the Solo competition, first, second and third place in each Division will receive a trophy. Additional prizes may be announced at a later date. The Tournament is part of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival Expo.

The Tournament will consist of team (eight students and a teacher/coach) and solo events. The teams will be competing for the fastest time to collectively solve 25 Rubik's Cubes. The solo competition will be limited to students from a registered school team who will compete to solve one cube in the fastest time. Solo competitors names must be submitted prior to event day. Schools may enter more than one team per school but each team must have a dedicated coach/ parent volunteer. The Tournament will be divided into three team divisions and three solo divisions as follows: Div 1 - Elementary Grades K-5, Div 2 - Middle School Grades 6-8 and Div 3 - High School Grades 9-12. Division is determined by the oldest team member on the team Hence, if you are a K-12 school entering one team only, and the oldest team member is 12th grade and the youngest 6th grade, this team would compete in Division 3. Alternatively, a K-12 school could enter a team in each division. Solo competitors compete based on their grade division, not the team division they are registered with.

Register Today - it's free to register and you have plenty of time to get a team together - Individual team member names are not due until 14 days prior to the event. To register, each team must designate a teacher/coach who is over 21 years of age and will be the team contact.
